Onkaparinga Swimming Club

Todays surfing went well.  17 swimmers participated in the surfing at Middleton.  Thanks to Melody for all her organising.  The weather was great.  Many parents and some older swimmers watched the younger members ride waves.  Hope Saree was really giving it a go. She could stand and make it all the way in.  Su - Sim, Monica and Jackie wereprofessionals by the end of the 2 hours.  Laura T and Tess Clements stayed close to shore and got the hang of it and then venture into the deeper waters.  Matty West was out to beat his Dad Mark however both were standing early and looking the part..... surfies...

Most swimmers stayed on for lunch and feasted on hot chips from Middleton and enjoyed another guess what? swim.

Thanks to the families for attending this social activity for both parent and swimmer.  It was a great night and enjoyed by all.

Woodside Christmas Pageant

Tuesday 22^nd of December

 Onkas Swimmers need to dress in either

 -Club top with panda mask

-Zoo Keeper attire (cream shorts and top with hat and boots-think Adelaide/Monarto Zoo)

-Quarantine officer attire (navy pants and shirt-think boarder patrol)

 *Parents are asked to attended training on Monday the 21^st of December to help prepare materials for mask making

(swimmers will complete masks on Tuesday after training)

Mask making until 6pm-prior to meeting at Woodside oval.

Reminder-Training is from 2 until 4 so that swimmers can be dressed and ready at Woodside Oval by 6pm!

1.Surfing on the 27th-Team Building Activity
 
-Please let Melody know before Tuesday if you are attending (payment details will be finalised this week and info circulated ASAP)
 
2. Christmas Raffle books and donations
 -Donations for the Christmas raffle and books need to be handed in before the pageant, ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT!!!!!

3.Funky Trunk Aerobics!
-Swimmers are invited to attended our Onka version of the Funky Aerobics on January 4th.
Info regarding locations and timetable will be circulated in the coming days-let Ryan/Amanda or Mel know if u are interest in being part of the PRODUCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
